If you only want the fastest way to the badge, the Lumber Tycoon 2 Secret Badge guide has the route as nine short steps. This page explains how the whole Lumber Tycoon 2 secret quest fits together, what you should see at each checkpoint, and where people usually get stuck.
What Is the Lumber Tycoon 2 Secret Quest?
Lumber Tycoon 2 has had several hidden, quest-like routes over the years. In September 2026, though, “the secret quest” almost always means the Glorb secret quest from The Hunt: Roblox 20. Roblox built the event around 20 games that tell the story of the platform’s first 20 years, and Lumber Tycoon 2 was the game for 2015.
The quest ends with:
- the in-game badge You got glorbed!
- the Glorb Axe, a purple axe
- in The Hunt hub, the Chest of Overflowing Loot, which community Hunt trackers list as the reward for Lumber Tycoon 2’s secret route
This page covers that 2026 Glorb quest only. The game’s older secrets are listed at the end of the page.
Main Quest Prerequisite
The Lumber Tycoon 2 secret quest continues from the game’s main Hunt quest, so do that first.
- Find Geck, near Wood R Us.
- Chop your own wood and put it in the event bin.
- Keep going until the meter is full. You get the You helped Geck! badge, and the Leather Adventure Backpack unlocks in The Hunt hub.
Finishing Geck’s quest leads into the purple bag and the Glorbs. That chain is what the secret quest uses.
Phase 1: Reach the Skeleton
Your first goal is the Skeleton inside a hidden cave. This is the part of the quest that changed most during the event.
In the final known post-nerf version, there is a built-in truss and an easier, open way into the cave. You do not need a long plank or dynamite to get in. If a video shows either, it is the pre-nerf route; see Pre-Nerf vs Post-Nerf Route.
The cave is very dark. Bring a Worklight or drive in with your headlights on.
Phase 2: Get Permission
Interact with the Skeleton and choose “I seek permission”.
This is the switch the rest of the quest depends on. Nothing visible happens to the Glorbs yet, so it is easy to skip or forget, and that causes most of the problems later.
Stuck later? Come back here first
If you have the bag and a Glorb but the colors or the next steps don’t behave the way guides describe, the first thing to check is whether you talked to the Skeleton before touching the Glorb. Some guides also report that the unlock is tied to your save slot.
Phase 3: Solve the Glorb Puzzle
Go back to the purple bag and take a Glorb from it. Some guides call the bag a Bag of Sand variant or a Glorb bag.
- Find the right starting Glorb. You want the lavender (purple) one. The correct Glorb turns black after your first correct interaction. If yours does not, it is not the right Glorb.
- Keep cycling it. Each interaction moves it through a set sequence of colors.
- Stop on the final orange state. Guides describe this final state as the final orange, a locked orange or a starred orange. This orange Glorb is the one you need.
Why click counts in videos don’t match
One walkthrough says 18 clicks in total, another says the first change to black plus 16 more, and a third says 15 to 18. They mostly differ in where they start counting. Treat the color sequence as the source of truth: lavender, then black, then keep going until the final orange, and stop there.
Phase 4: Use the Orange Glorb
Take the final orange Glorb through the secret tunnel to the lava room. Put it into the opening on the right-hand side; guides call it a lava opening, brazier or input. When it is accepted, the next door opens into the Purple Room.
If the door stays shut, either the Glorb is not in its final orange state or it went into the wrong input. Go back a phase and check both.
Phase 5: Collect the Three Items
The Purple Room holds three items. Guides mostly agree on these names:
- Can
- Purple Bag
- Glass item, which some guides call a Glass Maraca
These are community names, not official ones. The next stop is the bunker in the Taiga, so this is where a vehicle really pays off. Try to carry all three out safely in one trip, and keep your light on until you are out of the cave.
Phase 6: Find the Bunker (Den)
Head toward the snowy Taiga. Look for a red eagle (or bird) marking and a hatch or trapdoor nearby. It leads down into a hidden bunker, also called the Den. If you know the game’s older secrets, the red eagle and the Den will look familiar.
Phase 7: Match the Three Items
Each item belongs to one NPC. Match them by what the NPC is wearing, not by left or right, since that depends on where you are standing.
| Quest item | Give it to | Position most guides describe |
|---|---|---|
| Can | The NPC with the gold Dominus | Left plate |
| Purple Bag | The NPC with no Dominus | Top position |
| Glass item | The NPC with the white Dominus | Right position |
Phase 8: Get the Glorb Axe and Badge
Once all three items are in the right places, the Glorb Axe (a purple axe) appears or drops, and the You got glorbed! badge fires. Hunt badge trackers confirm this badge belongs to Lumber Tycoon 2. The hub reward, the Chest of Overflowing Loot, comes from community Hunt guides rather than an official source.
Pre-Nerf vs Post-Nerf Route
The Lumber Tycoon 2 secret quest was simplified partway through the event, which is why guides and videos disagree about how it starts. Only the way into the cave changed; everything from the Skeleton onward is the same.
| Pre-nerf (early event) | Post-nerf (final known) | |
|---|---|---|
| Getting into the cave | Craft a long plank, get dynamite or TNT, blast the cave entrance | Climb the built-in truss; easier, open entry |
| Long plank and dynamite | Required | Not needed by default |
| Skeleton onward | Same | Same |
Many videos from the first days of the event show the pre-nerf start. Use the truss first, and only fall back on the old steps if you can see the original blocked entrance on your server.
Troubleshooting
Stuck somewhere in the Lumber Tycoon 2 secret quest? Find your problem below.
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| An old guide tells me to craft a plank | It is a pre-nerf guide | Use the post-nerf truss and open entrance first |
| The purple bag or Glorb doesn’t behave correctly | The Skeleton step isn’t done | Talk to the Skeleton and choose “I seek permission” first |
| My click count doesn’t match a video | Different counting conventions | Follow the colors and stop on the final orange |
| The secret room won’t open | Wrong Glorb, or wrong input | Check the Glorb is in its final orange state and use the right-side input |
| The final plates do nothing | Items given to the wrong NPCs | Can to gold Dominus, Purple Bag to no Dominus, Glass item to white Dominus |
| The cave is too dark | No light source | Bring a Worklight or use vehicle headlights |
| The badge doesn’t fire now | The event may be over | Check the event status at the top of this page |
If your Worklight won’t turn on, the switch is on the side of the light itself. Don’t confuse it with the L key, which is for vehicle headlights. See how to turn on the Work Light.
Is the Lumber Tycoon 2 Secret Quest Still Available?
Not confirmed yet. The official Hunt: Roblox 20 window ran from Sep 17 to Sep 28, 2026, and closed at 10:00 AM PT on Sep 28. This guide documents the final known quest route and is being checked against how the game behaves now that the event is over. The status panel at the top of this page will change once that is confirmed.
Other Lumber Tycoon 2 Secrets
Lumber Tycoon 2 has other long-running hidden routes that play like quests, including the Rukiryaxe and its Den ritual, the Lost Cave with the Strange Man and Easy Building, shrine-related puzzles, and puzzles from older Roblox events. This page covers only the 2026 Lumber Tycoon 2 secret quest from The Hunt: Roblox 20, the Glorb quest; those will get their own guides.
